The listening and referral Centre Multi-Écoute is a non-profit community organization. The centre’s mission is to help with the social integration of any person in need. Services offered take into account the culture of the participant and are provided as much as possible in the mother tongue of the client. In this sense, Multi-Écoute gives a particular attention to immigrants.
I started teaching English as a second language 6 years ago, in a high school that terrified most teachers, including me. But I loved English and teaching it so much, that the experience proved to be truly rewarding, probably also due to my amazing students and supportive colleagues.
Four years later I moved from Romania, a country with warm hearts, to a country with cold winters. But Multiecoute offered me many warm moments as I started teaching English to immigrants. The center's mission became obvious during my courses, which turned also into something like support groups.
Apart from teaching, I love reading, swimming and, if I am not on a diet, cooking with my husband.
